Working in Morgan Stanley

I spent my last holiday touring the UK (and Turkey) and one of places I had the most fun in the UK was Glasgow, Scotland. My hotel, Hilton Glasgow, was just few meters away from the Glasgow office of the multinational investment banking and financial services giants, Morgan Stanley. Right from my hotel room I had a clear view of the offices and my bus stop was right in front of the building.

Having read about investment bankers in my school years, I really did want to become one after school. I got the opportunity to start my career in a Nigerian investment management firm in Victoria Island, Lagos, but I didn’t spend more than a couple of months there before I proceeded on NYSC and came back to start a career in the oil and gas industry, my favorite industry, where I have had my 12 years post-NYSC career.

While I have no intention of returning to IB, I still like reading about IB career and readers of this website and my book, The Road to Victoria Island, will know I talk a lot about it.

Spending few days in Glasgow, just few meters away from Morgan Stanley Glasgow office and seeing their employees exit their cosy offices during the closing hours triggered the career blogger in me to take some pictures, and, later, feature the firm on this careers website.
