JARUS ON SUNDAY: Jarus @ 31 Series

My cerebral friend and Jarushub’s Monday columnist, Dr. Michael Taiwo, when he clocked 30 last month, did a series on his life at 30. It is a must read, as I believe it is loaded with lessons. By the special grace of God almighty, I will also be 31 on Friday, August 23. I have never been a ‘birthday person’, so you will forgive me for not throwing the JARUS BASH. Well, 10 years ago when I clocked 21, I threw a ‘yam & egg’ party for members of my Awo Hall room 184 in Ife. I hope Mhuyil, Najeem, Sheriff and other friends that attended the yam birthday get to read this and recall that morning. Lol

Predictably, my birthday will be on keyboard and laptop as I do what I enjoy most: writing! I have decided to put together 31 forces that shaped my life, my thought process and my being in my 31 years on earth, not only to appreciate these forces, but also add to the literature of life lessons.

I have divided the forces into 3: 21 people and 10 places. I will release them in installment over the next few days. I have also divided the 21 people into family, friends, mentors, career lifters and spiritual supporters.
