August 8, 2014 Reply Good morning Mr Jarus. You have been doing an immense job and I hope that many youths like me are getting inspired daily. I am Ayodeji by name, a follower here and on Nairaland. I feel the need to come out bare and seek for help and advice, which I know you, sir are capable of providing for me. I am 21 years old, and will be resuming at University of Ilorin by September to start studying Civil engineering. I have determined in my heart (and so help me God) that I will be graduating with a first class honors in this course, no matter the challenges I face. Please Mr Jarus, I need a plan on how I can achieve this. (I have one already, but I believe that two heads are better than one). I won’t mind you personally referring me to anyone in the civil engineering path too. I also need to know what steps to take after completing my BSc, the various employment opportunities for civil engineers etc. I know you can help me achieve my dream, sir. Thank you sir. Doris Nwankwo August 16, 2014 Reply Please what does the law say when an employee over spends her/his leave days, purposely? Jarus August 18, 2014 Reply It is not about the law but about the company policy. Companies frown at it and it may attract punishment ranging from suspension to outright sack Doris Nwankwo August 16, 2014 Reply Kindly reply through my email. Thank you. harris August 24, 2014 Reply Please help me as I am interested in treasury bills.. November 1, 2014 Reply Hellooo Mr Jarus, I must say that I am impressed by your sheer gesture to innundate teeming youths and job seekers alike on different issues and topics that relates to their personal, social and intellectual well being, more so on how to stay abreast and be on top of their game in respective fields of endeavoure. Basking still on this euphoria of awareness, knowing well that I may have to ask questions in the near future if not Now. I want to register my displeasure at some folks who ask questions which supposedly pertains to them, but more importantly serves as direction to the general public, some of which would show invaluable gratitude for the asked question! Yet they muddle up the feeling by requesting that your reply to their question be made private. Permit me to say that this is a forum that embraces knowledge and as such, whateva question asked publicly here should also be answered publicly for all to see, know and be better enlightened. Why should I ask a reasonable question ( whether it affects me or not) and request that the reply you( Mr Jarus) gives to me be kept confidential when I believe that it would be of immense benefit to the online audience? If I need a confidential answer, then it would be wise to make my question also confidential, hence the need for the Email ( Jarushub@gmail.com) that has be posted. Pls Moderator, I hope this opinion of mine would be treated uttermost necessity. It would have helped the larger part of your audience, and you would have solves diverse boggling question than you could av imagined. Thank you! Jarus November 3, 2014 Reply Thanks. Noun unusual calmness as far as the refusal of its law students to be admitted into law school by the ‘Almighty Counsel of Legal Education’, is so frustrating and devastating. Most annoying is their inability to make a categorical statement on a sensitive issue as d issue of law school, not even on pages of newspaper. The flimsy excuse given by one of the deans of the school is that the administration of noun is not run on the pages of newspapers. Meanwhile, the school does advertisement & passes other useful information via newspapers. Imagine the height of deception. May God intervene and help noun law students. I will advice those seeking for admission to study law in noun to think twice. uhegwu alexander April 16, 2015 Reply am currently studying computer engineering in a federal university in Nigeria…after graduating, i would like to know the various proffessional courses tha i have to under take which will make me a proffessional hot cake in my field….. tanks alot sir. i also got your book and its really amazing.. my course mates also like it but its a pity i cant give it to them mahmood abdulraheem April 19, 2015 Reply pls i use to read physic bcus is easy for me but i want to study chemical enginieer, will it be easy for me when i reach higher institution Jarus April 19, 2015 Reply Yes, it should. Ahmed Oyelowo August 16, 2015 Reply I am ND holder in Accounting, Final year student of Accounting(Unilag DLI) and an ACCA student. I am 26 years old with 4years banking experience and 1year experience as a payroll/data analyst in a fine private firm. It is sad if the inclusion of DLI on certificate can hinder one’s opportunities for job placements. For me, I think it won’t hinder my chances though. My question here is, do you think it is possible to get a job considering my years of experience before my degree. Say I intend changing job 5years from now and quoting 10years working experience while my grad year is only 5yrs to the period. So I will advise you have her retake WAEC. It is especially important that she gets minimum of c6 in Math because this may affect her in the future during job hunt, as many companies require 5 credits including Math and English. Sunny Godwin August 21, 2015 Reply Sir your post has been helpful 2 me but I have a question which engineering course requires TD,GEORGRAPH.FURTHER MATHS AND AGRIC SCIENCE azeez August 22, 2015 Reply @ editor Sir this question is very relevant, are there any first generation universities graduates with 2.1 that is still unemployed or unable to secure Job for so long because I hear a rumour that employers give them preferred treatment , I just want to get something Assistant Editor August 29, 2015 Reply Yes, there are first generation university graduates that are still unemployed. There are even Harvard grads that are unemployed. In the pats, employers used to give them preference, but it doesn’t meant they don’t go through selection process (test, interview etc). If you graduate from a first generation university and you can’t pass test or interview, you wont get job. It is not automatic. The advantage they confer is that they tend to expose you befor eyou graduate. That doesn’t mean automatic job. olayinka August 28, 2015 Reply Good day the great jarus. I am a 200 level student of oou studying banking and finance with a current gpa of 3.98. Am also presently in ican final level. The main reason for contacting you is to ask about how I can boost my gpa to first class.I also need information relating to investment banking job opportunities. I will be very glad to receive your reply.Thanks. Assistant Editor August 29, 2015 Reply Study and apply the tips here: http://www.jarushub.com/?s=first+class But to be frank, 3.98 is a bit far from first class (which starts from 4.50) and you made 3.98 in 100-200 levels which should be the easier levels. Having first class is good and you should strive to have it, but you can get good jobs with 2.1. Just make sure your CGPA doesn’t drop further, to below 4.0, if you can’t raise it to 4.5 Try and complete your ICAN too.
