Dilemma of a Frustrated Computer Science Student
Dear JarusHub,
Please I seriously need your help, I am considering dropping out of school as I have no passion or motivation for the course (computer science) which I am studying.I am even yet to find my passion, I only opted to study computer science after I was denied admission to study chemistry which was my choice since secondary school. I am in 300 level in a private university, but every day I feel like my life is wasting
I am thinking of taking a year off from school or dropping out or changing course.

Dear Joe,
I’m surprised you are doing a course as good as computer science and you are not happy.
Computer science is one of the best courses out there. Even if it was not, course of study has little to do with success. University education is just to broaden your horizon, to exercise your brain. Your success in life has little to do with your course.
And it does not affect your passion. You can still pursue your passion regardless of the course you studied.
I will not advise you take a year off. The earlier you graduate the better for you.
The slight issue is you have not found your passion, otherwise I would have advised that you read about successful folks in your field of passion.
I will not advise you to change course or drop out from school. At 300 level, I think that is too late, especially for such flimsy reason.
I will not even advise you to take a year off.
Please cheer up, face your studies, and graduate on time.
