The Nigerian Stock Exchange's recruitment process is quite rigorous - an aptitude test assessing cognitive abilities (organised by Dragnet as at this review), an assessment center (also done by Dragnet as at this review) comprising of Microsoft Office proficiency, role play, group discussion, presentation and an interview with senior staff and possibly the CEO testing general knowledge, discipline- or field-based questions (mostly about the financial markets). The recruitment process from beginning to offer does take a while (as long as a year).
Remuneration is average. Employees also enjoy moderate benefits in kind like training, coaching from senior staff, gym services, daycare facilities, paternity/maternity leave etc. Starting a career at NSE is good for any graduate with a finance background and even non-finance grads.
The job security is generally above average as NSE is not known for indiscriminate laying off.
Overall, the Nigerian Stock Exchange is generally regarded as a great place to work by Nigerian standards.
