BSC ECONOMICS VS B.ED ECONOMICS: A GRADUATE’S DILEMMA

4

Dear Jarus,

Please I need advice. My problem is that I graduated with 2.1 in Education Economics but my dream ambition was to study Business Administration.  I’m planing to apply for special admission AT Ahmadu Bello University for Bsc Economics for two years.

Dear Usman,

You don’t have a problem. You had 2.1 in Economics Education. That’s good enough. There is hardly anything that Economics (Social Sciences) degree can get you that Economics (Education) cannot get you, whether in academics or industry. The most important thing is having a good grade, which you already did.

I advise you move on with the next phase of your life, whether to continue your education at master’s level or to search for job with your first degree. You don’t need Bsc Economics again.

I wish you all the best.

Every school has its own requirements, check the school’s requirements, but we think you should be able to do this.
